“The Thrive West Midlands action plan shows impressive commitment from key organisations across health, care and the wider system who are working together to promote good mental health in the region. We wholly welcome the determination shown by the Commission to keep those with lived experience and their carers central to the report. This is essential as if we are to be successful in transforming mental health services for the better, changes must be focussed around those who need and use services.
“As the action plan recognises, this is the start rather than the end of the journey, and the approach taken here will be of great interest to commissioners and their partners across the system, as we work towards our ambition of making sure our patients and populations get the mental health services they deserve.”
