New funding available to support development of non-executive community networks

NHS Clinical Commissioners has joined forces with NHS England and NHS Improvement to provide support for local networks of lay members and non-executive directors (NEDs).

The networks will enable increased collaboration and integration across an STP or ICS, or an ICP – depending on what applicants deem most appropriate for their local system – whilst also providing the non-executive community with a voice in the evolving commissioning system.

From today (Monday 10 September) lay members and NEDs can apply for a share of £20,000 funding to support the development of local non-executive community networks in their area. This was developed following feedback from the non-executive community during two events held in Autumn 2017, which you can read more about in this briefing published in November 2017.

The application window is now open and will close at 5pm on Wednesday 10 October. Applicants should complete an application form and return this to office@nhscc.org. Further details about the selection criteria that will be used and what your application should include are contained within this information document.
