Improvement and Assessment Framework results reflect “good work” of CCGs across the country

The CCG Improvement and Assessment Framework 2017/18 results have been released today, showing that almost 60% of England’s CCGs are rated as ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’. The full results are available from NHS England.

Responding to this, Julie Wood, chief executive of NHS Clinical Commissioners, said:julie-wood_website

“Today’s IAF results highlight the good work taking place in CCGs across the country. The improvement shown in the scores of many CCGs, despite the challenging circumstances that they are facing, reflects the hard work taking place and the determination of clinical commissioners to make a positive difference for their patients and populations.

“The results also demonstrate that there are cases where improvement is needed. We look forward to working with the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to ensure that the new funding for the NHS is spent in the best possible way, alongside other forms of support to make sure that CCGs can deliver high-quality services for their patients and populations.”
