NHS Clinical Commissioners’ Mental Health Commissioners Network and the East of England Mental Health Clinical Network are hosting an event in the East of England to bring together mental health commissioners to hear from leaders in the field, to discuss key issues of concern and to showcase good practice.

With all the changes within CCGs and the further development of ICSs and PCNs, and the proposals in the Long Term Plan, what does it mean to commission mental health across a whole system, but also at place and neighbourhood level? We will seek to illustrate this with examples of successes and challenges from the East of England.

NHS England will be making transformation money available to CCGs to develop mental health crisis services, community mental health teams, and an expanded model for 0-25-year olds. This workshop will highlight models that already exist in the region and explore what else needs to be done to further develop these services.
