The first annual Urgent and Emergency Mental Health Care Summit, jointly hosted by the Mental Health Commissioners Network, part of NHS Clinical Commissioners in the UK, and RI International from the USA, is an international thought leadership event.

The summit brings together leaders in the field of urgent and emergency mental health care from the UK, the USA, and Europe to share good practice, learn from each other, and develop recommendations to take back to our respective politicians and policymakers to help bring about change.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Dr Phil Moore, Chair of the Mental Health Commissioners Network at NHS Clinical Commissioners and Deputy Chair (Clinical) at NHS Kingston CCG
  • Dr Caroline Dollery, Chair, NHS Mid Essex CCG
  • Chuck Browning, Chief Medical Officer, RI International
  • Bobby Pratap, Mental Health Crisis Care Project Manager at NHS England
  • Steve Mallen, Founder of the MindEd Trust
  • Wendy Farmer, CEO, Behavioral Health Link

As well as keynote speakers and panel discussions across the two days, there will be five fully participatory breakout sessions on the second day, where delegates will agree on recommendations for best practice in the following areas: Health Care Policy and Crisis Business Case; Mobile and Telephonic Crisis; Peer Integration; Facility-based Crisis; Law Enforcement Integration.
