Working with patients and the public: designing care around your population’s needs

Event Details

  • Venue : The King's Fund, London W1G 0AN
  • Date : 07 November 2017
  • Event Time : 9.00am-4.30pm

The need to engage the public in changes that affect their health care services is vital, but it is not always easy to do.  We’re holding an event in partnership with the King’s Fund and National Voices, designed for people leading local health care service redesigns including new care models, accountable care systems, STPs, or new care pathways in hospitals to help them understand what good public engagement looks like.

You will learn how to:

  • engage in a meaningful ongoing conversation with your populations
  • incorporate the experiences of patients and the public in service design and delivery
  • ensure that you engage with all parts of your community so that all those affected by change are able to contribute.

Speakers include:

  • Roger Davidson, ‎Director of Engagement and Communications for Health System Transformation, NHS England
  • Imelda Redmond, National Director, Healthwatch
  • Jeremy Taylor, Chief Executive, National Voices.
