  • Event Time : 9am-5pm

We are holding an event in partnership with the King’s Fund looking at difficult commissioning decisions. Aimed at commissioners and providers from the NHS and local government, this will explore the key factors to consider when making difficult commissioning decisions, including strong leadership, early strategic planning and getting stakeholder engagement right.

Given that maintaining quality and safety, access and cost effectiveness must always be fully taken into account, this event looks more broadly at the decision-making process to provide guidance on how to engage with all stakeholders and ensure the focus is on moving towards services and outcomes that are fit for a transformed and sustainable NHS.

The event will cover:

  • how we can best respond to changing patient needs and expectations
  • the common blockages and challenges facing effective priority setting and how these might be overcome
  • how to engage with all relevant stakeholders from the beginning, including patients, communities, local councillors and politicians, national bodies and the media
  • how to base decision-making on robust data where available.

Delegates from NHSCC member CCGs will be entitled to a 20% discount – email us on office@nhscc.org to find out more.
