The rapidly changing NHS landscape, the need to improve population health and to drive efficiencies has led to an unprecedented number of CCG mergers due to take place in April 2020, and many more CCGs are considering a merger in April 2021. A key lesson from previous mergers has been that building a strong case for change during the application phase with member practices, local partners, and the public is critical when forming a new CCG.
This national learning event hosted by NHS Clinical Commissioners (NHSCC) in partnership with Browne Jacobson LLP and NHS England and Improvement (NHSEI) is for CCGs considering a merger in April 2021. It is designed to give attendees:
